Two friends - one in New Hampshire, one in Vermont. There will be some knitting, some cooking, some crafting and some commiserating over the random little disasters of our lives.

Aldena
Aldena McCain Rayl January 24, 1924 November 18, 2009
K- It's funny, because people think I look like my mom too (and by extension, my grandmother), and I really don't. I think the resemblance comes from certain mannerisms - we all do that kind of shy chin tuck when having our picture taken. I'll admit that the smile is similar, though.
Hi Heather - Sorry about Aldena. I have several photos of my Grandma K. very much like this. She's gone, too. :(
Are you still blogging? I just discovered your blog with Kate - I've been slogging through the blogs, looking for something new to follow (I regularly check-in at Boho Girl and Ink on My Fingers) and your smart, funny stuff is the only thing that's caught my attention. :)
Also, I was skimming your "100 Things" about you, and I think we might have kinship. I'm a 41-year-old freelance illustrator and writer (inexplicably procrastinating on the projects that I love) - currently unemployed after 15 years of administrative jobs at artsy, spiritual, or health-related non-profits.
I live in St. Paul, Minnesota with my cat, Spice, and take the bus once a month to see my boyfriend in Madison, Wisconsin. He comes here more often, god bless 'im. I spend a lot of time at the coffeehouse across the street - especially now that I'm job-searching again...yikes.
Anyway, let me know if you'll be "blogging" here or somewhere else - I'd like to read it and maybe write you a note now and then.
Well, we don't blog a lot anymore, but once in a while I get inspired. Life gets in the way sometimes! Do you have a blog yourself? How did you find us?

Hey Erika!
Well, we don't blog a lot anymore, but once in a while I get inspired. Life gets in the way sometimes! Do you have a blog yourself? How did you find us?
