Two friends - one in New Hampshire, one in Vermont. There will be some knitting, some cooking, some crafting and some commiserating over the random little disasters of our lives.

lunch on the porch
Reading: The Wild Places by Robert MacFarlane. Beautifully written. Eating: Butternut Squash Gnocchi In the glass: Orange/carrot juice to chase away this cold
Thats a great collage. It's now my desktop image on my laptop. I'm really missing Vermont Fall right now. My friend Aaron (Of the Aaron and Laura fame) wrote a great bit about his first experience with fall on his Live Journal;
"autumn arrived under a cover of mist yesterday morning. there was a chill in the air when i stepped out the door, and a haze so thick i couldn't see to the end of the block. the mountains were gorgeous, though. faint silhouettes in the distance, jagged lines in soft focus. everything washed in the pale pink-grey of morning light.
this morning i woke to darkness. stillness. watched the sun rise as i ate breakfast. the tree line in our backyard is starting to turn. all reds and yellows, oranges and browns.
i layered as i dressed. coat over hoodie over button down shirt. scraped the frost from my windshield and waited for the car to warm. hands on the steering wheel, i wondered where i left my gloves back in april when the snow finally melted."
I thought that was wonderful. I hope you are well :)
